News & Reviews Review eVGA 680i LT SLI Motherboard

eVGA 680i LT SLI Motherboard

When one has a best product and wants to fill the difference between the high end and low end product, all one has to do is remove the best features from the high end product or add some good features to the low end product. This is exactly what NVIDIA has done. They have removed some features from their best product and have created a new one by slashing its price by 20%.Yet the overall performance of the motherboard has been kept the same.

On observation one will notice that 680i LT SLI is green in color and has active cooling facility on both the chipsets.

The overall layout is just same as that of 680i SLI. This is because the design source is same – NVIDIA. The eVGA 680i LT SLI includes true dual x16 PCl express slots which support SLI technology, and SLI ready memory with EPP. This enables one click access to enhanced memory settings.

The 680i LT is focused directly at the extreme gamer and hence it keeps the chipset and keyboard features which the gamers take utmost care of.

Some of the other features of 680 LT SLI are – its thermals are active, over locking is great, FSB – 1333, SLI ready memory – 800, GIGe – 1 as compared to 2 in previous model, USB -8 ( 4 rear, 4 onboard)

The motherboard has altered a bit but it should not impact many users as a few people use PCLe based physics card and both Gigabit Ethernets ports. All in all this motherboard is aimed at extreme gamers and will prove a delight for them.
