It is often observed that people are always looking for a better RAM, than what’s already installed in their PC. This is because people don’t realize the efficiency of their RAM on daily basis, until they realize it while working on some pace based project.

Hence by pitting the crucial ballistix with others, one may find that it’s not the fastest or greatest, but at the same time one may say that its not that shabby. Hence this is ideal for the no fuss overclocker who wants a good memory and at the same time doesn’t want to spend hours tweaking. Hence the Crucial Ballistix reaches an overclock speed of 273 MHz, and is not at all bad for the specified price tag! |

Intel has confirmed that they are working on next – gen Core processors. These are 17 new 32 nm Core processors and will officially launch on January 7, 2010. Intel said that the chips have already hit high volume production which are being carried out at two wafer fabs and are being exported to a number of PC manufacturers.
The processors will be based on three chipsets. This will allow OEMs to deploy Nehalem micro architecture in low priced desktops and laptops.
Intel spokesperson Uday Marty said that i3, i5 and i7 will be sold at mainstream consumer price points. All these three chipsets feature revolutionary micro- architecture, while the i7 and i5 processors offer Intel’ advanced turbo boost and hyper threading technology.
Marty explained that turbo boost increases power and therefore it accelerates system performance significantly. The power increasing concept work for special processes such as media transcoding and photo stitching.
Marty explained that turbo boost excels with any kind of bursty workloads. This can be used to enhance performance of standard applications like PowerPoint. This has also been chosen by a major OEM to power a Blu- ray theater unit at high end.
Marty also added that new line of core processors boasted HD graphic support for multiple monitors but only for integrated ones. It also supports dual HDMI and HD dual stream picture – in – picture playback.
In applications such as Google Earth Intel’s core processor ensure a stutter free 3D environment and also offer a professional grade audio experience with Dolby True HD, DTS and 7.1 surround sound. |
