NVIDIA’s new GeForce 9800 GTX 3D Graphics card

As  descendants to the GeForce 8800 GTX, NVIDIA’s new GeForce 9800 GTX 3D, a graphics chip has been watermark for the PC gamers’ for its brilliance since it was launched at the ending of  2006. To know whether the card is suitable for you to use or not, depends on the number of 3D openings available in your PC and also on the games you play. A single-opening PC user who likes playing lots of Call Duty 4 and bioshock shall have too much to like in the card. The ones who are fans of Team Fortess 2 and in view of SLI should opt for other alternatives.

The GeForce 9800 GTX is on the whole is a raised-up version of the less pricey GeForce 8800 GT chip that came out earlier than 2006.When putting single GeForce 9800 GTX and GeForce 8800 GT side by side 9800 GTX is faster than 9800 GTX and that's the reason why recommendation of 9800 GTX is done if your PC has only one graphics card slot.

The card is no doubt more expensive than the GeForce 8800 GTs but its additional performance is that of two GeForce 9800 GTX cards. On other hand a single 9800 GTX, even at high resolutions, can definitely play it well but if you're a dedicated TF2 player and you are looking for the maximum frame rates, your choice than seems to be clear.

Sony Vaio Mini

Sony still has to grace the market with a VAIO mini computer, actually Sony has been overtly disinclined to produce and sell a netbook. Sony operatives have claimed the inexpensive notebook idea doesn't align with Sony's "premium" company image.

Having said that, I have seen Sony make some pretty rubbish electrics before, my Television as an example, so this is going to be taken 2 ways: snobbery or a joke. But in recent times, Sony have come out with some terribly real extraordinarily up-market products that support this claim.

Sony's Bravia Television range is an industry leader, they have continued the 'Walkman' legacy against the might of the Apple iPod and iTunes and in gaming, it's extended its PlayStation brand, replacing the best-seller PS2 with the PS3 with an amazing £425 RRP against Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii.

Its VAIO computer line is also superb. Try looking "netbook" on Sony's VAIO mini-site - no results. Sony doesn't and isn't going to be related to the cheep and contented image presented by Asus when it brought out the Eee Computer. But they do have a VAIO computer that's little, light and conveyable: the VAIO TT. The TT is a powerful product, offering an 11.1 in. screen, up to nine hours battery lifespan and weighing a petite 1.3kg placing it on par with the 8.9 in. HP 2133 mini-note and lighter versions of the Asus Eee Computer one thousand. All the Sony Vaio TT models feature strong carbon fibre body material in a choice of 2 colors, 'intense noir' and 'gold fever'. Sony announces carbon fibre is "used in racing auto or aircraft producing that is 200% stronger and 30 percent lighter than traditional materials employed in PC frame design." A bi-product of the bigger screen is a bigger keyboard which is extremely just about (but not really) comparable to that of a full size notebook. The keys are enormous and separated a touch, with the center of each key indented slightly for better accuracy. With Sony's Television background, the 11.1 screen incorporates lots of experience. Viewing on its widescreen 16:9 aspect proportion and 1366x768 resolutions, is delightful.

Also, the power to read blu-ray discs (or any disc) gives much more adaptability. The great battery charge lifespan - up to nine hours - can be adapted to use whilst away on business, more than needed for a full working day.

Sony has incorporated a range of power-saving and potency features ,e.g. the battery care function which impedes wear on the batteries, automated adjustment of LCD brightness according to the environment you are working in and the use ultra-efficient Intel Centrino two technology. Connectivity is undeniably at the center of the TT, with inserted 3G 'Everywair' on a few models with speeds as high as 7.2mbps.

Maybe then, Sony has definitely entered the mini portable market, but particularly promoting it as if they have not. Oh yes, the site bangs on "slim and complicated design" and how transportable it is, but Sony is particularly afraid to use the 'n' word. Maybe it must be said for them, maybe not. The difference between the VAIO TT and a common netbook like the Asus Eee Computer or the Acer Aspire One is so extreme. Are they in the same league? Price smart, definitely not ; the VAIO TT is expected to retail about £1,200 for junior level models, compared to a more modest £200-300 for your day to day mini computer. It's definitely just as conveyable and useable; it is clear Sony's taken an alternative approach to portability. Asus pioneered the netbook by beginning anew, building a little PC that would handle easy jobs processing, fast web and making it cheap. Sony's answer was to cut back the weight and size to make it ultra portable while maintaining wonderful performance. The result's a particularly high performance computer that has the weight and size properties of a netbook - it is, if you like, the complicated mini laptop.

Alienware M17x

The time has come for us to play Half-Life2 and Crysis the way it is structured to play. Yes, you are hearing it right. You do not need a PlayStation to experience the striking dexterity of our fave graphical mates and the baddies. There are certain outlining features that are solidly completely unique to gaming PCs that set them apart from other PC offshoots. The choice to get the best gaming Computer should incorporate these wants to get that adrenalin rush these games guarantee us. The most urgent factor that comes into action with gaming performance is the discrete graphics card.

We need dedicated memory to address the blitzkrieg action in the games which is achievable only with a good discrete graphics card like ATI or Nvidia. Dell's latest Alienware M17x is fully power packed laptop with Nvidia GeForce SLI card that provides the true worth of each frame of the gaming experience.

Though AvaDirect Clevo M980NU isn't far behind, Alienware M17x scores a slam-dunk in performance and speed. At times we may feel that discrete graphics is much too much of a feature wasted for board games which have meager action. It is preferable to have the choice to swap between integrated and discrete graphics in such cases and save power. Sony's NW180 J / S has a seemly, tempting design that makes it a favorite to keep on the road, but offers a poor battery performance due to dearth of suppleness and options for power optimization. Alienware M17x provides extreme advantage which makes it highly flexible and difficult for gaming and an all powerful leader in the market. We intend to swap between integrated and discrete graphics with surprising ease. Gaming is a doggedly reinventing field where nothing is saved for posterity.

The Computer must handle the steady updates that are occurring in the games arena. The weight of updating the cartable should not fall on us. ASUS G50 -X1 which has one of the finest designs fails in this critical need. Capitalizing on this need, Alienware looks after smartly updating the command center obviating the duty for us to manually update the software.

Though it isn't all gloss that weighs the worth of a Computer, it is one of the most significant factors in the case of a gaming movable. Do we like to play Crysis on a system with shabby and clumsy design? We do distribute some quantity of significance to the design and looks. When top gaming movables are evaluated, plenty of them are smooth and aesthetically designed. But the incontrovertible fact that everyone forgets is that, after we take a plunge into the gaming arena, it is not how seemly the computer is, but how good the display system works out.

The system must effectively use the high-spec that is being offered such that Super Mario is indeed super. Unfortunately, not one of the best-performing gaming movables offers this satisfaction. This excludes Alienware essentially as it has twin CCFL back-lit LCDs which display top of the range photographs.

The altar of gaming computer is sanctified by speed, dedicated discrete memory, high spec and suppleness and Alienware M17x holds an infallible sway over this altar the rivals have to work on a big quantity of areas to match up to it.

Eee PC 1201N

Following on the heels of the admired HP Mini 311, Asus has stimulated the Netbook bar forward by taking a 12-inch Netbook framework and counting both Nvidia's Ion graphics and a dual-core version of Intel's Atom processor (known-as the Atom 330). Formerly we have seen dual-core Atoms only in a handful of Nettop desktops, because of heat issues, and it's just not likely we would see one in anything minor than a 12-inch laptop body.

While being small, the 1201N fits in a full-scale keyboard and a 250GB hard drive. The system arrives with Windows 7 Starter and 2GB of RAM. Asus also states the battery having 6-cell should last up to five hours, alike what we've seen in other Eee PC models.

While briefing hands-on demo, we noted that the Asus Eee PC 1201N look is very identical to the current Eee PC line, comprising the popular 1005HA, which comes with a black glossy finish and textured touch pad.
Merged with a 1,366x768 HD display, a great video watching experience is what is made by the Nvidia Ion GPU, which allows the Ion to speed up streaming Flash video. The Eee PC 1201N will be available later this year.

HP Envy 15-1050nr

The HP Envy 15 Laptop is a top of the line performer. It works at lightening speed, has a wonderful classy look and is all a nice mid-size laptop of fifteen inch's. It does weigh lot which is a downside. This laptop weighs ten pounds which is more then I prefer actually but the many additional benefits that this laptop gives make the weight issue insignificant.

The body of this laptop is of aluminum with a magnesium base and embossed wrist rest. The measurements of unit are as -14.9 inches by 9.6 inches deep and 1 inch high. It comes in a metal gray color. The overall appearance is comparable to Apples MacBook Pro because of its similarity with the same.

One of the things that this laptop does not have is a visual drive. As per my understanding, this was given up to add it would have increased the weight noticeably. So in order to keep the heaviness of this laptop low they must have decided to sacrifice the optical drive. By any means but the laptop is not a cheap laptop.  No doubt it is supplied with an additional battery and external DVD burner but still I don’t find it convincing enough to justify the extremely sharp price. However, if your are the one looking for superb gaming and media laptop then this is a better option indeed! The processor is a fast 1.6GHz Intel Core i7 720QM. The memory is an outstanding 6GB, 1,066MHz DDR3. Collectively this makes this laptop lightning quick and more then good enough.
